Communication at its best

This video of a monkey playing with a puppy is nothing short of an internet gold. But, perhaps the first thing which comes to a human mind is how is this possible. May be the reason is that they are animals, not humans. They do not possess the so called avaricious character which we humans possess and are so proud to flaunt. As we call ourselves intelligent creatures created by God, how many of us can actually decipher the language between the monkey and the puppy. What is that common language which has bound them to such an extent which has put us humans to shame? Some say that language is a barrier. For communication to be completed, the sender must be able to communicate in the language which the receiver understands and is able to provide feedback. States in our country have been divided more on the basis of language rather than the grave reason of improper administrative control. Then what is it that has bound the not so intelligent creatures together and left us to ponder about their respect for each other? May be they are more intelligent than us or may be we are faced with the problem of being the most intelligent. Has intelligence eaten away our souls or is it that we have decided to disregard and ignore the alarm raised by our conscience for not being able to respect, value, and prize the human race? Why cannot we develop the common language of brotherhood or union or fellowship arising from common responsibilities and interests, cultivate a feeling a fraternity, have tolerant behavior towards diversity of views, culture, and beliefs and translate human rights into social reality? What man has done to man has no limit. He has tortured him, he has burned him, he has killed him, he has exploited him in every possible way-religious, political, economic. This has been the story of man to man; the clever exploit the stupid, the ignorant. When would we see a man stand up for all and all stand for one? May be that day is not far off. Till then we have to wait and do our best for the society around us.
